classes and workshops offered at SC Studio.
METAL CLAY
Instructors: SiaCorrina Durocher (certified PMC® instructor) & Barbro Augustin
SC Studio offers a variety of metal clay classes - from one off 'Organic Painting with Silver' to entire courses that will take you from a beginner to an advanced user of metal clay. At this time all of our metal classes are offered solely in fine (.999) silver.
ORGANIC METAL CASTING
Instructor: SiaCorrina Durocher
Learn how to safely use an acetylene/oxygen torch system in order to cast metal into organic matter - beans, straw, shells, etc. You can choose between bronze, copper or silver for your creations. You will also learn how to clean and polish your metal castings both by hand and by machine.
DICHROIC FUSED GLASS
Instructor: Barbro Augustin
Learn how to combine various shapes and colours of glass and fuse them in a kiln in order to create pendants, earrings and rings.
BEAD WEAVING
Instructor: Katerina Konstantinou
Learn how to weave glass seed beads to create bracelets, earrings, rings, chains and pendants.
MURANO (LAMP WORK) GLASS
Instructor: Nicole Roozemond
Learn how to safely use an oxygen torch system to create glass beads by melting the glass and forming it onto stainless steel mandrels. SC Studio offers three levels of lamp work glass classes - from beginner to advanced specialized beads.
WAX CARVING/METAL CASTING
Instructor: Kiki Kuhlmann
Learn how to carve shapes and designs into wax and then have them cast with bronze or silver. Also learn about polishing, finishing and carving techniques for wax and metal.
CUTTLEFISH ME TAL CASTING
Instructor: SiaCorrina Durocher
Learn how to safely use an acetylene/oxygen torch system to cast metal into cuttlefish bone. You will learn how to carve the cuttlefish bone to create unique and breath taking pieces. You will also learn how to clean and polish metal both by hand and by machine.
FENG SHUI SYMBOL PAINTING
Instructor: Aurora Douros
Learn how to create Feng Shui symbols using an ancient painting technique with metal powders - all sizes and shapes are feng shui in proportion.
METALWORK I & II
Instructor: SiaCorrina Durocher
Learn how to create jewellery using pliers, mandrels, hammers and metal wire, metal sheet, hand-tools, rotary tools and polishers. These are two classes that focus on the basics of metal working in jewellery.
WIRE WORKING
Instructor: SiaCorrina Durocher
Learn how to create jewellery using pliers, mandrels, hammers and metal wire. You will learn various techniques and create a variety of projects.
CHAIN MAILLE
Instructor: Barbro Augustin
Learn how to combine metal rings in various designs to create stunning chain maille bracelets. You can choose between silver, copper and aluminum for your creations.
KIDS CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Learn basic beading skills to create necklaces, earrings, bracelets, key rings - and more! SC Studio also offers holiday classes so that your child can create their own holiday gifts and ornaments - much better than buying them!
CREATIVITY WORKSHOPS

This is an exploration of our creative selves, a breaking down of barriers and blocks that may be stopping us from living a full and creative life. This is not an ‘artists only’ workshop - it is for all of us, all of us that may feel a bit blocked - a bit bored - a bit stifled - a bit frustrated - a bit stressed - a bit unheard - a bit unexpressed - it is for us all; whether we call ourselves artists or not. This workshop is for you!
OPEN STUDIO WORKSHOP DAYS
SC Studio offers 'open stud io' days so that you can practice your skills and techniques under the guidance of one of our instructors.
